Unifrance events
Unifrance and the French Embassy in Brazil hosted their first Panorama of French Cinema in Brazil this June.
For the first time, the On Set With French Cinema program traveled to Israel as part of the 5th Tel Aviv French Film Festival.
The 2nd Franco-Spanish Film Meetings were held in Madrid on June 6 and 7.
Unifrance will be working to support the release of French films in the United Kingdom throughout the summer season.
Festivals/Delegations
This month, Unifrance provided support for the presentation of 109 films and the attendance of 39 artists at 10 feature film festivals: The Panorama of French Cinema in Brazil, the Bangkok French Film Festival, the 2008 Cuba French Film Festival, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Moscow International French Film Festival, the Munich International French Film Festival, the Shanghai International French Film Festival, the Sydney Film Festival, the Taipei Film Festival, and the Tel Aviv International French Film Festival.
Unifrance also provided assistance for the presentation of 98 short films and the attendance of 2 artists at 10 short film festivals: the Brooklyn International Film Festival, the Ebensee Festival of Nations, the Hamburg International Film Festival (Hamburg Filmfest), the Huesca International Short Film Festival, the Arcipelago International Short Film and New Images Festival in Rome, Short Shorts–Tokyo Film Festival, the Toronto Worldwide Short Film Festival, the Troia International Film Festival, and Cinema Jove–the Valencia International Film Festival international.
