Unifrance will be in the Indian city of Mumbai this January with a delegation of French actors and directors led by Jérôme Seydoux, producer of Asterix at the Olympic Games. This latest episode in the Asterix adventure will open the event in a world preview screening.
The following titles will be presented in preview screenings for Indian audiences: Azur and Asmar, in the presence of Michel Ocelot; Caramel, in the presence of Nadine Labaki; Chrysalis, in the presence of Julien Leclercq; The Stone Council, in the presence of Guillaume Nicloux; Them, in the presence of Olivia Bonamy; Crossed Tracks, in the presence of Claude Lelouch and Audrey Dana; and The Science of Sleep by Michel Gondry.
All these artists will take part in interviews with Indian media representatives. Two master classes led by Claude Lelouch and Guillaume Nicloux will also be held with students from the Whistling Woods film school as part of the On Set with French Cinema program.
Professional meetings with local producers, as well as a visit to the Bollywood studios are also scheduled. Interviews with distributors, exhibitors, and directors of Indian television networks will enhance awareness of the Indian market and help to expand French films’ presence in this territory.
