In keeping with tradition, seven French feature films will be hitting Mexico starting September 11, before continuing their journey across the continent until October, via the hugely popular Latin American Tour de Cine Francés, now in its 29th year.
Jointly organized by the Mexican French film distribution company Nueva Era Films, the Cinépolis movie theater chain, the country's Alliances Françaises network, and the Ambassade de France in Mexico, the Tour de Cine Francés attracted nearly 230,000 viewers in 2024—the all-time record remains the 420,000 admissions recorded in 2018.
In addition to more than 70 cities in Mexico, the lineup will once again tour to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
Several artists supported the Tour by participating in a virtual press junket organized at Unifrance ahead of the event's launch: Johann Dionnet, Baptiste Lecaplain, Carine Tardieu, Cédric Klapisch, Suzanne Lindon, Eric Besnard, Maël Piriou, and Grégory Gadebois.
