Formerly known as the Mercado del Cine Francés y Europeo, the Unifrance y EFP Miami Mercado, a market focused on Latin America, returns in full physical form from March 5 to 8 for a fourth edition, again in Miami. The event is jointly organized by Unifrance, EFP - European Film Promotion, and the Miami Film Festival, which runs in parallel from March 3 through 12.
The market, which aims to facilitate the promotion and sales of European films in Latin America, will bring together some 30 distribution companies and buyers from the continent, as well as 21 European sales companies, 13 of which are French.
After an opening cocktail reception on March 5, many of the European films that will have their market premiere in 2023 will be screened from March 6 through 8 at the Silverspot cinema in Miami, followed by meetings between European sales agents and buyers from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, and the United States.
