A few days out from the next edition of FilmArt, the most important Asian market in the cinema and television sector, which will take place from March 14 through 17, and in which more than twenty French exporters will participate, Unifrance joins forces with EFP - European Film Promotion to organize a feature film pitching session on Thursday, March 10 via Zoom.
More than sixty buyers operating in ten Asian countries have confirmed their participation in this "warm-up" event.
They will attend presentations by 18 European international sales companies, nine of which are French: France tv distribution, Indie Sales, Les Films du Losange, Luxbox, Mediawan, Pulsar Content, Reel Suspects, Reservoir Docs, and Urban Distribution International.
Among the French films in the spotlight during this event, we note A Taste of Whale by Vincent Kelner, Sugar and Stars by Sébastien Tulard, SOS : Save Our School by Carine May & Hakim Zouhani, An Ordinary Mother by Sylvie Audcoeur, Two Tickets to Greece by Marc Fitoussi, Nobody's Hero by Alain Guiraudie, One Fine Morning by Mia Hansen-Løve, I Want to Talk About Duras by Claire Simon, Godard, l’homme cinéma by Cyril Leuthy, Tropic by Édouard Salier, Dragon Princess by Jean-Jacques Denis & Anthony 'Tot' Roux, Wilderness Therapy by Édouard Deluc & Amore mio by Guillaume Gouix.
This pitch session will be introduced by Sonja Heinen, Manager Director of EFP, and Emmanuel Pisarra, Territory Manager at Unifrance. It will be moderated by Susanne Davis, Head of Film Sales Support at EFP.
This collaboration and format has proven to be successful—notably at last year's Asian Contents & Film Market—while travel outside Asia has not yet really picked up for buyers from that region.
