Pierre Salvadori and Félix Maritaud will come to present The Trouble with You and Sauvage during the 55th edition of the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival (November 8 through 22), Taiwan's leading film event, which will also host an international coproduction platform involving several French production companies.
The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival (November 8-22) is Taiwan's most important film festival. The Awards ceremony, Chinese-language countries' equivalent of the Oscars, has existed since 1962 and will reward the best of Chinese-language cinema on November 17. This year, Gong Li will be the jury president.
In terms of France's presence, apart from Pierre Salvadori (whose The Trouble with You will be distributed in Taiwan by Sky Digi Entertainment) and Félix Maritaud (Sauvage will be distributed by Swallow Wings Films), producer Charles Gillibert (CG Cinéma) will travel to the event to give a master class.
In the context of the FPP (Golden Horse's international coproduction platform), several French producers involved in selected projects will be present: Farid Rezkallah & Annie Ohayon (24Images) for Loma - Our Home, Sophie Erbs (Cinéma Defacto) for Dominion, and François D'Artemare (Les Films de l'Après-Midi) for The Stranger.
The following investors will also participate in the FPP, thanks to support from the Bureau Français de Taipei: Xavier Rocher for La Fabrica Nocturna Cinéma, Julien Deris, Dominique Magny-Roux and Jiann-yuh Wang for Cinéfrance 1888 / Cinéfrance Plus, Romain Blondeau for CG Cinéma, Alexis Perrin for Logical Pictures, and Anne-Sophie Lehec for Cinemarket.
It should also be noted that Anne-Sophie Lehec will participate in the Innovation Week in Taipei (she will give a lecture about applying blockchain to audiovisual content, alongside a representative of the INPI).
