Three films co-produced by France (two minority-French productions and one majority production) have been nominated in the Best Foreign-Language Film category, as Agnès Varda prepares to head back to Hollywood in the hope of gleaning a new statuette for her documentary and two French animated shorts have also received nominations. Not to mention the (minority) co-production Call Me by Your Name (co-produced by La Cinéfacture and sold by Paradise City Sales (ex-Memento International)), which is in the running for no less than four Oscars! That just about sums up France's presence at the 2018 Oscars.
