Three films co-produced by France (two minority-French productions and one majority production) have been nominated in the Best Foreign-Language Film category, as Agnès Varda prepares to head back to Hollywood in the hope of gleaning a new statuette for her documentary and two French animated shorts have also received nominations. Not to mention the (minority) co-production Call Me by Your Name (co-produced by La Cinéfacture and sold by Memento International), which is in the running for no less than four Oscars! That just about sums up France's presence at the 2018 Oscars.
