The closing ceremony of the 62nd San Sebastian International Film Festival (SSIFF) was held September 27, with French productions and co-productions picking up a string of awards.
With a jury led by the Spanish producer Fernando Bovaira, the 62nd San Sebastian International Film Festival (SSIFF) announced its awards list last Sunday evening at its traditional closing ceremony.
French films were honored with several awards:
- Special Jury Prize: Wild Life by Cédric Kahn (photo)
- Audience Award: The Salt of the Earth by Wim Wenders & Juliano Ribeiro Salgado
- Horizontes Awards - Special Mentions: Gente de bien by Franco Lolli and Natural Sciences by Matias Lucchesi (minority co-production)
- Sebastiane Award: The New Girlfriend by François Ozon
- TVE - Another Look Award: Girlhood by Céline Sciamma
- TVE - Special Mention: Gett, The Trial of Viviane Amsalem by Ronit Elkabetz & Shlomi Elkabetz
