For the second time, the French Embassy and local exhibitors are presenting a selection of French films in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen this year.
Entitled “Exterior and Interior Paths,” the French Film Seasons are presenting a dozen French films between September and December in two Swedish cities and the Danish capital. Thanks to the excellent welcome offered by the press, these weekly screenings have drawn considerable crowds. Screenings are held at the Zita Cinema in Stockholm, the Hagabion in Gothenburg and at the Grand Teatret in Copenhagen. The program is a blend of films not previously released and preview screenings of films slated for release in upcoming weeks.
Among these films, “Like an Image” by Agnès Jaoui (distributed by Non Stop Entertainment in Sweden and Camera Film in Denmark), “Intimate Strangers” by Patrice Leconte (Triangel in Sweden, Camera in Denmark) and “Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran” by François Dupeyron (Folkets Bio in Sweden) are to be showcased in preview screenings.
The following films not yet released in these territories are also included in the program: “Raja” by Jacques Doillon, “Triple Agent” by Eric Rohmer, “Mischka” by Jean-François Stévenin, “Strayed” by André Téchiné, “Va savoir (Who Knows?)” by Jacques Rivette, “The Red Knight” by Hélène Angel and “Je rentre à la maison” by Manoel de Oliveira. Two films released previously, “The Barbarian Invasions” and “À Vendre,” complete the program.
