Synopsis
The outrageous fate of a writer who was an adventurer at first , perhaps a spy, and, before all, a free woman. Isabelle Eberhardt became absorbed in far middle-east litterature, before boarding to North Africa. There she started to write for a local newspaper. Soon, both her style of writing, and her style of living, became a source of concern : she drinks, she smokes kif, and often finishes the night with some native. Sometimes dressed as a man, sometimes as a woman, her paradoxal personnality is soon stirring up hostility among the French colonialists...
