Synopsis
Allan, a young English engineer of 27 years working in Calcutta in the company of Narendra Sen, important public works contractor. It fits into a European pension with his girlfriend and a group of jazz musicians idle. All live in the greatest carelessness. One night an old friend of Allan, Lucien Metz, arrived in Calcutta. Specialist of Asia and a little paranoid, Lucien Metz is a reporter for "Life Magazine". Gradually, it seeps into the life of Allan and accompanied for tea at Narendra Sen.
