Synopsis
Claire is an anthropology student, an eternal student now hitting her thirties. Her life is an accumulation of anxieties and frustrations. Her parents are mediocre, her little sister is a mess, her boyfriend is married and, most scary of all, the presentation of her thesis looms up ahead.
Psychosomatic reaction it may be, but Claire falls ill. She suffers from terrible migraines to such a degree that her doctor has her admitted to a neurology ward.
Her roommates are a young woman paralyzed in both legs and an old biddy who is practically senile. Claire’s tragi-comic experiences in their company and the growing compassion that she feels are part of a healing process. The confrontation with the suffering of others helps Claire regain her strength.
