Murder In Biot
Synopsis
Marie Lemaire is poisoned with fentanyl during a dinner hosted by a merchants’ association. She is the heir to her recently deceased husband, François, who owned the city’s largest glassworks. Olivia Rousseau, one of the guests and François Lemaire’s former mistress—whom he had abandoned to marry Marie—died a few days later at her home. In a letter, she claimed to have poisoned Marie and to have taken her own life in the same way. The case could have been closed, but Deputy District Attorney Elisabeth Richard’s intuition led her to continue the investigation. A third murder attempt will allow them to unmask the killer….
