Synopsis
The body of a man, with a cattle tag attached to his neck bearing the words “Can they suffer?” was found in a large slaughterhouse and meat-packing plant in the Manosque area. The suspicions of young inspector Samira Masson—for whom this is her first investigation—naturally led her to an animal rights organization that had been mounting a media campaign against the company for some time.
