Synopsis
Amsterdam 1652: The Hands of the City is a 30-minute multi-user free-roam VR experience set during the fire that destroyed the old city hall. Players move through the city, choosing which character they want to follow: a whaler, a printer navigating censorship, or a formerly enslaved woman trying to build a life. Inspired by newly digitized civic records, the work shifts focus from official histories shaped by power toward the overlooked everyday struggles of its ordinary citizens.
