Synopsis
When she learns her mother has been admitted to intensive care in Los Angeles, an Iranian-American woman in Paris must wait forty-eight hours before she can board a flight home. What follows is an interior descent, a waltz threaded with dreams and dread, as a woman fiercely confronts her own truth.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager.
