Synopsis
November 1945. They were over 350, all converging to the destroyed city of Nuremberg to open "the greatest trial in history". They came from America, Asia, France, England and the Soviet Union. They worked as war correspondents, photographers, filmmakers and writers. Gathered together at the Faber Castell castle, commandeered by the American Army, they proceeded to uncover the horrors of the Holocaust and expose Nazi atrocities to the world. It was a year and a half behind closed doors facing ultimate evil, but also a year and a half of intense intellectual exchanges, friendships, romantic and political involvements until the final conviction of 21 Third Reich dignitaries in October 1946. How was this trial viewed by these first-hand witnesses of history? And how can their perception nourish our own when the issue of crime against humanity is now back to haunt our times?
