Synopsis
Burning Cars tells of a paradox. New Caledonia is a mermaid dazzling with its lagoon-blue charms. But as we travel through this French Pacific island, an underlying tension is revealed in this exotic paradise. Historical wounds, tough love with France, an island microcosm, and a thorny juxtaposition of societies with opposing values. The film explores a place, a universe. A tale of travel and encounters.
