Ivan Ilic and Benoît Maire are respectively pianist and visual artist, one re-interprets Reicha and the other paints. While the painter initiates a series of cloud paintings, the pianist himself - after having recorded Debussy, Godowsky and Morton Feldman - undertakes the recording of the entire work for solo piano by Antoine Reicha. During their discussions, they decided to collaborate around a common work, which takes the form of a recital-performance, mixing music and painting in order to make Reicha's presence more sensitive and real.
The presenter decides to write and document their respective work in order to better understand the approach of the two artists until the performance, his goal is to know if the work of Reicha - that the artists want to resurrect - is an accessible fad.
The documentary is made of interview pieces with the artists on their respective places of work, then together in the painter's studio. We follow the discussions of the two artists until the performance, and the audience reactions are also filmed at the end of the recital looking for reincarnation, waiting for a moment of grace.
