Montmartre, 1965. Sixty-year-old Yvette focuses all her attention on initiating her thirteen-year-old neighbor Naïma into the pleasures of reading fine literature. A friendship grows from this encounter. Naïma, whose thirst for knowledge slowly leads to her emancipation, ends up discovering Yvette's secret.
