Synopsis
Spring, 1930, a luxury train follows the Danube in the direction of Budapest. In the cosmopolitan restaurant car, a modest English dancer gets acquainted with a Belgian businessman. They decide to become lovers. Intoxicated, the young woman returns to collect her suitcase in second class where she finds herself manhandled by her former travelling companions. An old Rumanian doctor intervenes to defend her.
