Synopsis
Purging long punishments or imprisoned late in life, the old prisoners find themselves without any possible horizon. Into what future can they project themselves? A retirement home? A foyer? Marked by years of detention where the time freezes the spirit but counts for double for the body. They envisage with a paradoxical anxiety their liberation. To grow old in the shadows shares with us their reflections, the worlds encircled by habits that they have recreated in prison, the tenuous and deeply moving links which they have managed to maintain with the outside.
