Synopsis
In the Nordeste of Brazil, Vanilda, her husband Antonio, and twenty other farming families take possession of a property after a four-year struggle, during which they were supported by the Landless Workers Union.
But in this region haunted by drought, the collective management of the land and the community's meager resources proves to be an even more difficult adventure than the original struggle to obtain the property.
Armed only with the strength of their arms and their hopes, they will build a dream society, like a utopia, in this desolate reality.
