Synopsis
At the beginning of the nineteenth century, Howard Zinn's parents arrive on Ellis Island from Eastern Europe, like millions of other immigrants dreaming of a land of plenty, of making their fortune, or who simply dream of a better life... They discover America.
Bread and Roses is the first feature in a trilogy about the people's history of the United States, from Christopher Columbus to the present day, through the extraordinary personal story of Howard Zinn, a rabbit historian.
