France, at the beginning of the 1960s. Simon, a wrestler, wears a white mask and in the ring he's known as "The Ghost." He suggest that his friend Victor, recently back from the war, become his adversary in a black mask: "The Slaughterman of Belleville." But for Victor, who is still in a fragile start, the role seems to big a load to bear: for once in his life, he'd like to play the role of someone the audience applauds. Simon then suggests that they change masks. But you don't play around with the world of wrestling and expect to get away with it.
