Exiled to the Caucasus with his parents at the age of four, Alexander becomes an adventurer. Forty years later he comes back from exil to Estonia when the country is independent again. A businessman linked with the mafia hands over to him a large amount of money and give him a free hand to expand a business of his own choice : it will be the Big Dipper. Sirje is teacher in a nursery school. Alexander wants to take back the building where the school is. In the past it was his parent's property. But he likes the children and leaves the building to them. Sirje falls in love with Alexander. In a world with lost values, Ruth doesn't love anything except money. She steals Alexander from Sirje only to drop him for someone even richer. Sirje remains alone with her group of children while Alexander follows his adventures in the world of business.
