Synopsis
Cameroon. Over a year, the Commandement Opérationnel, a special security unit of the police force combating crime in the region of Douala, operates with impunity and makes more than a thousand people 'disappear'.
"It is said that Africans are not ready for democracy. I therefore wonder: have they ever been ready for dictatorship?" - Wole Soyinka, Nobel Prize for Literature.
Osvalde Lewat takes up this question as his own a few years later, overcome by this horrible story and the memory of the victims' families, who are still fighting to find out what has happened to their loved ones.
