Synopsis
Saiva, the only person from a tribe of reindeer hunters to have survived a massacre by Western sailors, lives with her adopted daughter Anja in a remote corner of the Far North. Here Saiva feels she can offer her daughter a safe and protected life. Both lead a harsh existence: they must hunt to survive and put up with bitterly cold weather. One day, Saiva sees a man collapse in the snow. Despite her painful past and her wariness of strangers, she decides to rescue and take care of him.
