Synopsis
Ohm Hassan sits in front of her house in Al Michtai village, in the coastal mountains, trying to convince her neighbour Rada to go with her to Tell Banat village, near the Euphrates. Ohm’s son has recently be given a teaching job there. Rada is reticent, but is eventually persuaded into going. The next morning, the two women set off on a journey that will lead them to a world with which they are totally unfamiliar.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager.
