Gustave Klopp is narcoleptic. He falls asleep at any time and in any place. His frequent sleeping spells are as abrupt as they are unexpected. Although this illness is a veritable handicap in his professional life, it nevertheless allows him to live unforgettable adventures in his dreams. Barely asleep, Gustave becomes Klopp, an invincible and vengeful superhero. Gus's life is divided between Pam, his wife, who runs a fashion fingernail boutique and who dreams of better days ahead, and Lenny Barr, his best friend, who is a fervent disciple of Jean-Claude Van Damme. Everything indicates that they're all destined for a calm, settled existence in their cosy little town oozing happiness and peace. But Gus decides to "move his butt," as his wife so sweetly puts it, and joins a therapy group. His psychiatrist, Samuel Pupkin, discovers that Gus transforms his dreams into incredible comic books. He and Guy Bennet, a failed stand-up comic now in publishing, decide to take the work of this unknown genius off his hands. To achieve their aims, there is only one solution: they must get rid of Gustave Klopp...
