Synopsis
“My name is César. I’m ten-and-a-half, four footand a bit tall, kind of chubby and don’t like people commenting on it.
I’ve never really understood what my father does. He sells things that he doesn’t always buy and buys things that he has a problem selling. I often hear my mother say to him, “Your business affairs will lead to a bad end!” I don’t really understand much about it, but, boy does he ever yell and scream…
My best friend, Morgan, is a good student. Calm, strong, he inspires confidence. His only problem is that he doesn’t know his father.
Well, he only knows that he’s called Fitzpatrick and lives in London, that’s all.
And then there’s Sarah Delgado, the prettiest girl at school. I’d give my life for her. But being in love when you’re ten-and-a-half amounts to what? Looking, smiling, looking, walking and keeping my mouth shut, because when I’m with Sarah, I’m at a loss for words. My physique won’t attract her, that’s for sure, so I need to find other things to grab her attention. But trying to make a ten-year-old girl understand that isn’t easy.”
