Synopsis
1981, Morocco during the month of Ramadan.
Amina and Mehdi, her 7-year-old son, move in with the boy’s grandfather, Ahmed. The old man lives in a village in the heart of the Atlas mountains.
Medhi’s father is in prison. Amina and Ahmed protect the boy by telling him that his father has left to work in France.
At school, Mehdi is given the privilege of taking care of the teacher’s chair. His relationship to his classmates and the world in general revolves around this object.
The fragile equilibrium of his life risks being shattered at any moment.
