Synopsis
Michael is a small-time crook, sentenced to eighteen months of jail for stealing cars. Handcuffed, he jumps from a train to escape the policemen who are bringing him back to prison after he’s been let out for his mother's funeral.
Malika also knows enough about cops and handcuffs. She’s done some really stupid stuff, been in a preventive jail for three weeks and now her father wants to send her back to Morocco so she can get back on the straight and narrow. When her path crosses Michael’s, who’s pretty hard pressed at the time, she helps him find a place to hide, and listens to him without pestering him with thousands of questions.
Michael doesn't know his father, who has been separated from his mother since Michael’s birth, but has his address and the firm intention of asking him for the money that he owes him: the alimony which was never paid. Malika, who’s breaking away from her family, is going to help Michael get in touch with his father.
