About
"If I were a guy, my dream would be to portray a woman. So in the same way, I thought it would be fun to change myself into a man. But I certainly didn't want to play a virile man with tie and shoulder pads. I wanted to be someone almost asexual. I play a lot with my physique since the character I portray doesn't have anything to say. I forced myself not to do too much. In the film, I'm like a coloring book - you can color me anyway you want. I play a mute, very naive character who passes through the whole film. Everyone can put themselves in his place." (Valérie Lemercier, excerpt from an interview published in Unifrance Film Newsletter No. 19)
