Synopsis
A husband in love and a wife satisfied by this love; yet they won't be happy, at least in the conventional sense of the word. For the husband is so in love he becomes a little paranoid and the wife, a slightly neurotic Hitchcock heroine, is so charmed that this shocks her. Therefore, in a distinctly matrimonial manner, they embark upon a dual process of destruction that can be nothing but mercilessly comical.

About
"The thing I liked, in addition to the screenplay and its style, was the variation suggested by Valéria Sarmiento in the title. By adding an ironic "le" and transforming Bunuel's macho "El" into a glorious, female "El-Le", she aimed to analyse the neurosis resulting from this role reversal and fresh confrontation. A man depossessed, not only of the title role, but also, as a result, of his attributes. The analysis of this jealousy suddenly becomes derisory and pathetic or even infantile, since it concerns a man who has lost his title and who continues to dread the loss of his wife, the very object of a status that no longer exists."
(Didier Flamand - Actor)
