Synopsis
Krim is released from prison. Sixteen years for killing his wife. His release means that he has to leave old Eugène, the mentor with whom he has spent all these years inside. He also leaves a world in which he has his bearings, a world that is basically safe since you know in advance what each day will bring. But outside... Nothing has changed. Except Krim. He thought that his ordeals were over and that he could now live peacefully with his daughter, little Yasmine, who was one year old at the time and who must now be a young woman of 17. Krim soon realizes that he is not going to find her.

About
"Krim" was inspired by a recent news item. A man rejected by his family and abandoned by his friends returned to Lyons after twenty years in jail. He no longer recognized the city. Without bearings or anyone to help him, not knowing what to do with his freedom, he tried in vain to return to "his" prison. He ended up committing suicide by throwing himself under a train. This tragedy was the starting point for my film. I drew it to me. The man became an Arab, a man without roots, without bearings and references."
(Ahmed Bouchaala)
