    Synopsis

    The perilous existence of a lovely Scottish aristocrat during the French Revolution. She lives in Paris, is a staunch defender of the monarchy and is involved in a stormy, tender relationship with the Duke of Orleans, revolutionary idealist and cousin to King Louis XVI. She manages to persuade him to help her save an exiled soldier, but not to dissuade him from supporting the king’s death.
