Synopsis
The 1950s. In a city that has come to a halt on hearing the news of Staline's death, a seemingly lost man runs headlong toward the hospital in order to attend his own birth. Our hero, as he may be called, grows up to become a civil servant with the highway and public works ministry. Martin K. is a very versatile civil servant. He has to cope with the vagaries of life that add spice to his humdrum existence, notably a strange affair of corruption within the ministry. Three days before Christmas, a veritable shockware derails everyone's personal plans. Martin K. escapes from this slippery world through his sense of humor and imagination...
