Synopsis
The renowned surgeon Professor Delage (Pierre Fresnay) sacrifices everything - including his family life - for his career. His nephew, Jacques, decides to follow his example and become a doctor. The intense reality of medical practice and its psychological impact initially turn the young man away. In the end, his uncle’s passion and competence eventually win the young man back to his medical studies.
