Graduate of the National Conservatory in dramatic arts in 2002, Julien Lucas appeared in "France Boutique" by Tonie Marshall in 2003. In 2005, he landed a role in Philippe Garrel's "Regular Lovers" and in 2009 in the first film by Patric Chiha, "Domaine", starring Beatrice Dalle. That same year, he played in two short films, Christophe Regin's "Adieu Molitor" and "Le naufragé" by Guillaume Brac, for which he won the Best Actor prize at the Festival Premiers Plans in Angers in 2010. Once again in a first film, he appeared in Lea Fehner's "Silent Voice". In 2010 he made his first short film, "Surfeurs".
