Synopsis
Michel Vaujour, a robber with an organized crime record, has always preferred escape to prison, adventure to submission, freedom to the law. Over a period of 30 years, he has spent 27 years in prison - of which 17 in solitary confinement - and managed to escape five times before obtaining a conditional release in 2003.
Although this hectic life has often exposed him to the worst, it has also led to an incredible face to face confrontation with himself. With time, this headlong flight has become an inner ascent, a philosophical inquiry which has obliged him to overcome a certain idea of the self, life and others. The film invites us on this journey of initiation.
