Synopsis
A man and his son live high on top of a steep peak. The only access to the outside world is by a bridge. Now that the latter has been destroyed, the two characters are completely isolated from the rest of humanity. The father has made sure to keep his son sheltered from the realities of the world of men. But one night, the child glimpses in the distance, at the bottom of a cliff, a town’s glimmering lights. He then becomes fascinated by this place, from which his father wants to protect him at any price.

Sixteen-year-old Diane exists exclusively through her mother's gaze. But this intensely close bond between Diane and her mother, Sophie, is becoming increasingly problematic for the teenager. At high school, she would like to be loved like she is at home and expresses it in an awkward way like when she exchanges a favor for a look, in the toilets. A loudmouth, provocative, and seeking attention, Diane tries to stand apart from her mother and wishes, during a weekend, to live like an adult.
