Synopsis
Manon, Aurore and Marie would like to represent their school at the Youth Challenge “Dance Special” organized by Paris’s city hall. If they win, they could have a month’s vacation in a country of their dreams, free from all constraints.
But on the day of the trials, Manon panics, runs from the stage, and the girls are disqualified. Fortunately Djena, the school’s best dancer, has just split from her group which everyone considered would be the winner. To make up for what she’s done, Manon manages to persuade Djena to join her group. The principal finally accepts to list the two rival groups on the Youth Challenge.
Djena sets some conditions: their dance will be inspired by a traditional Indian dance and they’re to think of only one thing: sensuality – which will stun the jury and enable them to compensate for their obvious lack of technique.
According to Djena, the only way to find fulfillment in dance is through the discovery of pleasure. They only have a month ahead of them. Thus begins an entertaining and sensitive quest that leads them to self-knowledge. Aurore has been with her boyfriend for ages; he’s far from being an ideal lover. Manon, inhibited by her complexes, and Marie, smothered by a possessive mother, have yet to know love. As for Djena, despite her self-confidence, perhaps she still has a lot to learn.
Falling in love, jealousy, and other new experiences transform our four friends, and their hard work wins them a place in the Youth Challenge final, where their friendship and personal fulfillment triumph.
