Biography

Agnès Obadia works as both an actress and a director. She has appeared in several films by Laurent Bénégui, including "Un type bien" (1991), "Au petit Marguery" (1995) and "Mauvais Genre" (1997) as well as in Michel Deville's latest film "La Divine Poursuite" (1997). As a director, Agnès Obadia has taken an unusual path by shooting several episodes in the life of "Romaine" over the years. The first of these was "Romaine, un jour où ça va pas...," made in 1989 when she was a film student, followed by "Romaine et le garçons," which inspired her to continue the character's adventures. Then came "Romaine et les filles" which, after winning a prize at the Pantin Film Festival, allowed her to make the final episode, "Romaine et Romaine," which soon became her first feature film thanks to a theatrical release combining the last three episodes.
