More than 20 French productions are to be showcased at the upcoming Berlin International Film Festival, to be held February 5 through 15, 2004.
Three French films will be presented in competition: "Triple Agent" by Eric Rohmer, "Confidences trop intimes" by Patrice Leconte and "Feux Rouges" by Cédric Kahn. The Panorama Section includes seven French films, including "L' Esquive" by Abdelatif Kechiche, "Wild Side" by Sébastien Lifshitz and "Je suis votre homme" by Danièle Dubroux, while the Forum Section features four films, including "Paradise Now" by Yolande Zauberman and "Folle embellie" by Dominique Cabrera.
The following French actors and directors, in particular, will be present at the festival: Carole Bouquet, Nathalie Baye, Eric Rohmer, Fabrice Luchini, Jacques Gamblin and Jean-Pierre Darroussin.
Valéria Bruni-Tedeschi will join the jury for the Official Competition (presided by Frances McDormand) as will Catherine Breillat for the Forum Section.
