Awards have been announced for the 14th Stockholm International Film Festival, held November 13 through 23 this year.
The FIPRESCI Prize was awarded to "Elle est des nôtres" ("For She's a Jolly Good Fellow") by Siegrid Alnoy, for "her extremely ambitious and promising debut film, for the quality of her directing and the well-crafted psychological development of her lead character, showing a rare intensity. Expressing at the same time tremendous anguish, the film brilliantly conveys a touching symbiosis between the director and her actress."
One of the largest film festivals in Northern Europe, the Stockholm Festival aims to promote young directors and to broaden exposure for innovative quality films in Scandinavia. This year the festival showcased no less than 160 films from 40 countries, including the following French productions:
Non-Competitive Section: "In My Skin" and "Who Killed Bambi?"
Competitive Section: "Elle est des nôtres," "Errance," "Stormy Weather" and "Tiresia."
Short Film Section: "La Cible" and "Le Principe du canapé."
