The Cesar Academy has announced the five feature films in the running for the Cesar Award for Best Film.
The titles are: Days of Glory by Rachid Bouchareb, Je vais bien ne t’en fais pas by Philippe Lioret, Lady Chatterley by Pascale Ferran, Tell No One by Guillaume Canet, and I Did It My Way by Xavier Giannoli.
With nine nominations each, Days of Glory, Lady Chatterley, and Tell No One (whose directors are also competing for the Best Director award) stand out as the favorites.
The following actresses are nominated for Best Actress: Cécile de France, with two nominations for Fauteuils d’orchestre, and I Did It My Way, Catherine Frot for La Tourneuse de pages, Charlotte Gainsbourg for Prête-moi ta main, and Marina Hands for Lady Chatterley.
The Best Actor nominees are: Michel Blanc for You Are So Beautiful, Alain Chabat for Prête-moi ta main, François Cluzet for Tell No One, Gérard Depardieu for I Did It My Way, and Jean Dujardin for OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies.
The awards ceremony will be held February 24, 2007.
