The unstoppable "Amelie" continues its brilliant career in North America. Distributed by Miramax, the film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet broke through the $30 million threshold at the end of March at the US and Canadian box offices, with $32 million currently in the till.
The two other French films currently in the spotlight in North America are "Brotherhood of the Wolf" by Christophe Gans, riding high with $12.7 million in the till (distributed Universal Focus) and Academy Award winner in the Best Foreign Language Film category, "No Man's Land," by Danis Tanovic (United Artists). This film has clocked up $950,000 to date.
