Between July and November 2024, over 600 French productions were exhibited on all five continents. Of these, 60 were animation films, representing 9.5% of the total. Over the same period, they generated 2.0 million admissions, corresponding to 15.8% of the total audience for French films abroad.
French animation remained a dependable drawcard on foreign screens in 2024. During the five months studied, six productions each attracted over 100,000 moviegoers of all ages.

The table above shows that the rankings are occupied by numerous productions with minority-French financing. One of these, the top place holder is Panda Bear in Africa, with 137,000 admissions in Poland (Kino Swiat, €0.67 million). Two other titles managed to attract more than 100,000 moviegoers in foreign markets: Zak & Wowo, la légende de Lendarys, with the highest number of tickets sold (155,000 and €0.41 million in Russia, Nashe Kino), and Argonuts (124,000 and €0.88 million in Germany, Plaion). Panda Bear in Africa also sold 69,000 tickets in Romania (Ro-Image, €0.33 million), 55,000 in Turkey (CGV, €0.28 million), and 45,000 in Ukraine (Adastra, €0.14 million), while The Inseparables sold 92,000 tickets in Poland (M2, €0.41 million), 84,000 in Mexico (Zima, €0.26 million), and 55,000 in Spain (A Contracorriente, €0.33 million). As for Robot Dreams, it continued its good run in Hong Kong (Edko, 91,000 admissions and a total of €0.84 million).
Two symbolic thresholds were reached and surpassed by three animated films during the five months studied: the first was the million tickets sold outside France by The Inseparables and by Panda Bear in Africa, while the second was the two million admissions achieved by Argonuts.
