French cinema received a flurry of awards at the 70th San Sebastian International Film Festival, topping the list the Silver Shell for Best Leading Performance, which went to young Paul Kircher for his magnetic and luminous portrayal of a teenager coming out of adolescence, confronted with grief and trying to rebuild his life, in Christophe Honoré's Winter Boy.
